Day 1
PE to Victoria West
Overnight: Prieska
Day 2
Augrabies Falls. Overnight Riemvasmaakplek near Upington
Day 3
Head for AiAis hot springs. Book in and relax in the healthy waters. After lunch we explore the Fish River Canyon and surrounding areas.
Overnight: AiAis Resort
Day 4
We travel towards the great dune fields visiting an old German castle, Duiseb, en route.
Our overnight stop is at Tolou’s Lodge, in the desert about 100 kms south of Sossussvlei.
Day 5
We leave early for the dunefield. Visit Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon. Continue through the desert via Solitaire and the Kuiseb river bed to Walvis Bay.
Overnight: Kleines Nest B&B with views over the huge lagoon.
Day 6
To Swakopmund then up the Skeleton Coast to Damaraland. Here we will see the Petrified Forest, Welwitschia plants, Vingerklip and the only World heritage Site in Namibia – Twyfelfontein ( Bushman rock engravings).
Overnight: Camp Xaru
Day 7
In the morning we will explore the Burnt Mountain & the Organ Pipes then continue up Damaraland to Palmwag and further on to Kamanjab, where we may see the reclusive Ohimba people. We then enjoy the bonus of a tarred road road to Outjo.
Overnight: Etotongwe Lodge in Outjo.
Day 8
After breakfast we travel to Etosha National park where we will see many animals.
Overnight: Okaukeujo Lodge
Day 9
Enjoy the park.
Overnight: Okaukeujo Lodge
Day 10
Leave the park via Halali and Namutoni (lunch) and travel south via Lake Otjikoto to the mining town of Tsumeb.
Overnight: Minen Hotel
Day 11
The next day of our tour takes us to Windhoek, 430 km south, where we have lunch and a city tour.
Overnight: Windhoek
Day 12
Explore Windhoek and surrounds. Leave after lunch
Overnight: Hardap dam or Mariental
Day 13
Travel past Upington.
Oernight: Boegoeberg dam area.
Day 14
Travel via Griquastad, Douglas, Hopetown to Orania.
Continue journey via Middelberg, Cradock to PE.
